Hello Everybody,

Finally after years of wanting a Desert Eagle I was able to get one. I wanted it in .357 but ended up with .50AE....Not too many stores down here ever carry them and I figured since you can buy one and just get the parts for another caliber it was worth it... I carry it on me as was my intent when purchasing it and I was able to find a Gould & Goodrich DEP2539 hip holster for it (still breaking it in) as well....Next thing I wanna do is get the .357 barrel and bolt assembly for it 'cause as much as I enjoy the .50AE I could only imagine what would happen if I ever had to use it in a defense situation...haha...I'll be a little more comfortable with a .357 when it comes to defense...Anyways, here's a pic of it:

Very Nice!
It looks like you have the latest model, as well.
50AE ammo must be getting up there in price......

Yeah... The store I bought that from was charging literally double what Magnum Research sells .50AE ammo for on their page... I'm goin' to a gun show in a few weeks where hopefully I can find some ammo at a decent price... If not I'll just start loading my own.

Sweet ! I just bought a mark VII I guess you'd call it (I call it freakin' AWESOME) but I would really like to have a rail on it like yours. That really makes a difference in the overall appearance of it. Too cool !!! :Thumbs up:

Your MK7 is the first Generation of the Desert Eagle Pistol.

You would need to purchase the Mk19 bbl, the rail is machined "cut " from the bbl itself.

Also, I believe the MK 7 bbl's do not interchange with the Mk 19 bbl's as posted by DamienAzrael

Thanx hard chrome... Do you know if any of the compensators fit or would it be best to just have it mag-na-ported..?

I have never seen a comp on a Desert Eagle, but that's not to say it's never been done.

Pretty much the same with Magna-port.

Don't forget, the DE is not a blow back semi auto it utilizes a Gas System.

A non user adjustable gas system with a narrow window of forgiveness.

On top of that it relies on the shooter to shoot the gun correctly to maximize reliability

I'm guessing that if you comp or port the bbl, you are going to interfere with the way the gun was designed to function reliably by changing the pressure in the system.

You may end of turning it into a jam-o-matic, so make your decision wisely.

I like my 44, though my 50 wobbles my ass :)

The 44 DE recoils only slightly more that a 6" 357 magnum revolver.

She's not all that bad.

Hey, Thanx Hard Chrome. The compensator is on the Magnum Research Web site but they sent me an E-mail and said to Mag-Na_port it instead. But, after reading you post I have decided to spend the $100.oo on a good sight.
