Hey everybody ! Just got my desert Eagle .44 and really enjoy it more than I thought would have been possible. I was going to send the barrel off to Mag-Na-Port, and when I pulled it of today I found something disturbing. The end opposite the muzzle, on the lower half by the loading ramp appears to be missing some very large pieces. I will try to post pics and show you guys what I mean, I'll never get rid of this pistol, but it's the first one I've had so I have nothing to compare it to. Could any of you post a pic of what it should look like for me. Thanx !!! :WTF:

Congratulations! :Thumbs up:
Post up a photo of the area that you are concerned with.
I'm guessing you have nothing to worry about. You may be looking at the bbl housing that works with locking and unlocking the rotating bolt.
 On your new purchase!

Hard chrome, you were exactly right, its that spot where the "locking" actually occurs. I was really freaked and sort of "jumped the gun". I know this is redundant to most of you, but even still, I think this is probably the sweetest pistol I've ever owned. I'm positive it would have stomped the hell out of the Beretta they gave me in the military, and has the capability to have less recoil than the 1911 I replaced that with. I would never turn down either of those pistols, and will most assuredly buy another beretta. But this is hands down my favorite yet. I love it when a gun is almost perfect !!!

Keep it clean, shoot it correctely and the 44 is very reliable.
